Michelle Bukowski

is a mixed media artist residing in Nashville, TN.

Michelle prides herself in using found material in her artwork, and enjoys scouring reuse centers, thrift stores, and garage sales to source old books and papers.

Those materials are used to make magical art journals that house her creative art practice.

When she’s not creating journals and teaching people how to incorporate them into their own creative art practices, she enjoys making ink and watercolor paintings based on her travels.

Recently, she began a new series of acrylic paintings celebrating her travels both near and far. They begin with a fluorescent orange or fluorescent pink ground followed by a sketch using a round brush and black paint. Layer after layer of acrylic paint complete the finished scene.

Since 2014, Michelle has been actively involved in the Nashville art scene, showcasing her works through solo exhibitions and collaborative shows, as well as leading art journal workshops and retreats.
